Sudan to Ethiopia
 

I'm looking for a route that enters Ethiopia as far north as possible (to continue for the Simiens).


Anyone any ideas?

the main road leads from khartoum to Gedaref to the border at Metema. From there, you can easily drive on to Gondar and the Simien mountains.

This I know, what I'm trying to do is enter Ethiopia much further north!

sorry, I don't have any useful information about this, but I'm just interested because I will also cross from Sudan to Ethiopia (next year): Why do you wanna enter Ethiopia further north?

More interesting, and saves driving all the way South to then drive north again to the Simiens...
