south to west africa by April 09, should we ship our car or drive?????

we are planning our trip, need to get to senegal for beggining of April, thinking that we will need to ship our car, from SA or Namibia, or could we still make it in this time (i know it is a shame to whiz through), so not wanting to just whiz through all these countries...

What do you think? Is it worth driving through fast or shipping the car and slecting a few places to visit whilst waiting for it to arrive?

While it may be possible, if you are taking car from SA it is probably RHD whereas all of West Africa is LHD.
