Just wondering how easy it is to purchase a bike in south africa.. I'm from new zealand.. I have a 2004 xt600 and keen to ride north to top of africa. but thinking it would be easier buying a bike in sa than taking mine over. Dont care what i ride as long as it gets me there..

Very easy to buy and register here in SA.

Still easy enough to get a carnet but expensive for non South Africans.
