selling BMW in Ethiopia?
i'm going for a trip across africa and planning to finish in Ethiopia.
does anyone has experience with selling motorcycle there? do you think its possible? there is no BMW dealership there. |

You don't need a carnet in Ethipoia so it's easy to sell - but maybe hard to find someone with enough money doh

you could try this guy. as far as i know him it is a nice guy and has a workshop for ''bigger'' bikes in addis and organizes bike tours around ethiopia. He is also official importer of ktm i think. he has at least some good contacts for you. his name is flavio (italian-ethiopian guy)

dont even think about attempting to sell your bike in Ethiopia!
I live and work there and am in a privileged duty free position, and I have, along with many colleagues had major issues with Ethiopian authority regarding the importation, insurance and use of a vehicle. You will do far better selling it in Kenya. the market is better, their are no decent sized bikes in Ethiopia in general. The sales process is torturous at best corrupt at worst. Regards. Alan l. |
