Rumour or fact - Africa to abandon visas
 

Yesterday coming through morocco-Mauritanian border my fixer said in a month or two visas will no longer be needed across africa. He seemed very sure.
I did some googling and apart from Senegal from 1st may 2015. I have seen nothing else to conform this.
Anyone else heard anything?

I'll eat my hat the day Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Angola and a couple others scrap their visas altogether.

Your "fixer" misspoke or doesn't realize Africa goes beyond Senegal.

Senegal is the only African country that is removing their visa policy.

Whoever this man was, he should become head of the African Union. Such a policy gets my vote! :thumbup1:

Can't see it happening, while the UK and the USA charge Africans extortionate amounts of money for visas, they will continue to charge us.... Luckily visa are within our reach, sadly not the same for most Africans to come the other way..
