Road from Burkina Faso to Benin crossing at Porga
 

Hello. We are 2adventurers from Slovakia traveling by motorcycle towards South Africa via the following route: Mauritania-Mali-Burkina Faso-Benin Nigeria etc. Have anyone heard about crossing the border from Burkina Faso to Benin at Porga? Some actual information on this road will be a great help for us. Is there some campsites ore safe place to sleep after Ouagadougou towards Benin border? Thank you very much. Fada N'Gourma there's La Belle Etoile on the way into town on the left after the fuel station, basic but clean rooms and great breakfasts, not sure if Alfred is in Burkina or overseas at the moment but it should be open

The border at Porga is fine, done it a few times. Just after Porga is Tanguieta and again before town on the left is a lovely auberge which you can probably camp at (although the rooms are very reasonably priced). They also offer tours up to the Park too

Natitingou wasn't great in the accomodation stakes, seem to remember staying there once in a windowless room for the night & finding food wasn't easy!

Lovely crossing to Togo from there via the Tata Somba villages and the Beninois border at Boukoumbe then onto Nadoba and Kara!
