Republic Congo ( Brazaville ) Visa on the border from Gabon ?
 

Hey folks !

Anybody recent (!!) informations if it is possible to obtain a Republic Congo visa on the border, coming from Gabon and how much it is for which period ??

Nobody an idea ?? Its extremely important to know, since i am not planning to go to Libreville go get the visa but instead heading to Gamba to see the nearby national parc Loango with hippos and elephants on the beach. If I pop up on the border and there is no visas, this would be a big big pain in the ass !

I am trying it again, currently i am 4 days ago from the road going to Libreville or straight down to the congo border.

Is it possible that nobody knows about visas on the border for the Republic Congo ?? Maybe somebody remembers or knows somebody who does ...

Back in 2010 it was definitely possible and very easy on the Leconi/Okoyo border. It was 20 000 CFA for two weeks a and 70 000 CFA for one month visa.

We passed through here in mid 2009 with a visa already, the border official told us that our visa was not valid and we would have to buy one off him for what would have been around $150 AUD each (x3) and wouldnt get our passports back unless we did so. We argued for around 3 hours and after a bit of pushing and shoving we got our passports stamped and away we went, a little shaken mind you but still here today. So from that I take it they have them available at the border however be prepared to pay a lot for it. We got ours in Yaounde. Good luck.

I got my 15 days Visa at the Doussala border for 30.000cfa a few days ago with little hussle. It is the same sticker you get at the embassys but there it is 70.000cfa both in Yaounde and in Libreville. Now in Dolisie and going to cross the congo river at Luozi. The vespa took a fair amount of beating on the piste here, inclueding broken rear damper, fortunately I had a spare one ...

Im in Pointe Noire wating for Angola Visa,don't look too good.

yep , I was there last May 2011 and they -as always- issue visa at the border. I think It was around 25.000

Also , some other travellers from my forum told me that as of last month or so , they did get the visa at the border.

Same as Gabon , they also issue visa at the border , coming from Cameroon .
