place to stay in Dakar
 

I'm opening my apartment to any overlanders coming this way. If you need a place to stay in the next few weeks I've got some space. I've enjoyed the kindness of so many strangers in my travels it's time to give back.

The apartment is in Medina, Dakar (near downtown, but without all the hustlers). I have been here for 8 months and just finished my teaching contract. I'll be here for another two weeks or so (till July 10th let's say), finishing getting all my central African visas figured out before I get back on the road.

It's a very, very basic apartment. Local Senegalese style. Tiny apartment with curtain divider, no running water, simple mat on the floor, or pitch your tent on the roof. Bathroom and kitchen, but no refrigerator. Can be noisy. Parties all night, prayers all day!

Parking is just outside on the street, but it is guarded overnight.

I would especially be interested in hosting anyone coming from the South, but anyone is welcome.

Jordan is a great host, a veteran minimalist traveller and has seen quite a bit of NW Africa. Besides that, he is a very nice person.
