Petrol grades in Africa
 

Hi All

I've long wanted to do a long overland trip in Africa. I have two trucks, one petrol and one diesel and am considering the petrol for Africa, but what is the petrol quality like in Africa?

The engine wants 91 RON or above, is that something I can reliably find in Africa? My assumption is yes, as most vehicles will be European spec rather than US spec, but I'm pretty new to the petrol, being used to an old diesel which would burn any quality of diesel I could find.
