Yes all very easy for the visa, in fact we got ours back the same day. The guy at the embassy gave us his mobile andbeer said to call at 2.00, collected at 4.00.

Bamako visa means patients

December 2016, the average wait time of travelers here in Bamak seems to be around 4 days for the visa. Prices have ranged between 45-65 Euro. We are on our 8th day waiting for our visas (one Spanish, one American). Each day we are told to pick it up at 2 and at 5 we are told to come. All the next morning when they tell us to return in the afternoon at 2pm. Being as it has been a week and a day we are hoping today is the day but there seems to be no reasoning to the delay. No other Western travelers are here now the others all cleared out the day we arrived or the day after.

Paperwork was simple. Copy of the passport, copy of our. Ike papers, two photos and our passport. We are still waiting on the final price. But a week at the hostel Sleeping Camel as been a budget saver however lodging and food does add up.

I recommend getting an Orange SIM card as you will likely be delayed and wifi is horrible everywhere. I wish I had gotten one a week ago.
