New year in Burkina-Mali
 

I am planning a trip two up on a motorbike next December-January in Burikina and Mali starting from Abuja Nigeria.

any good advice on where to spend last of the year night? festival, celebration?

anyone in the area in the same period?

I can't comment about local festivities etc. However if you are after a great, relaxing place to stay that is still surprisingly cheap then I'd recommend Hotel Panache in Fada Ngourma (Google maps says GPS ref is 12.060195,0.369544).

We were there for a few days over Christmas last year. They have a pool, green grassy area, plenty of bike parking, kitchen you can use and the rooms out the back were something like 15-20 euro.
