Hello,
Here is some up to date information about campsites and shopping locations.

MOSAMBIQUE:
Camping in the wild: often difficult (landmines), in the small villages one is the attraction of the year, we stopped at truck stops or next to Motels (where available).
BEIRA: Campsite 6 Km outside city center, direction North, directly at the beach, good restaurant.
SHOPRITE in Beira: main road to West

MALAWI:
Camping in the wild: in principle no problem
LIWONDE NATIONAL PARK. Mvuu Camp: in Ulongwe (26 Km north of Liwonde, direction Mangochi) head East, 15 Km sandy piste (not possible for heavy vehicle in the rain season), safe camping next to the river, no infrastructure.
ZOMBA PLATEAU: access possible for heavy truck, Ku Chawe Inn (Méridien Hotel), possible to camp in the car on the hotel parking if you have dinner in the hotel restaurant, food bad and expensive, but fantastic view from restaurant.
SENGA BAY: Cool Runnings S13 43 84.6 E34 37 14.4, quiet and shady place, ideal for tents, not possible for big trucks.
SENGA BAY: The Steps Campsite, on the Livingstonia Beach Hotels (Méridien Hotel)resort, fantastic big place, directly on the lake, busy on the weekend, food in hotel bad and expensive. Coming from Salima follow the route East for 20 Km, until the end of the road (lake).
KARONGA: Mufwa Lodge: on the beach next to Club Marina, not very good looking but safe, big and at the beach.
SHOPRITE in Blantyre: on the main road to Zomba
MZUZU: good shopping possibilities.

TANSANIA:
Camping in the wild: not advisable (security)
MBEYA: Karibuni-Center S 8° 54.559 E 33.26.629, don't drive to the city center, continue towards Zambia, after CAPCO filling station turn right on small dirty road, quiet and safe place in the mission, good pizza.
MIKUMI: Genesis Hotel, right at the end of town direction Mikumi National Park, safe parking of the truck on the hotel compound, good food, excellent service. Hotel manager can arrange Park visit (100 $ for driver and Toyota for 24 hours).
TANGA: Peponi-Resort, 28 Km South of Tanga on bad piste, on the beach, S° 5 17.185 E 39° 03.916, big campsite, excellent service and food.
