Nairobi: Campsite Jungle Junction, Lavington, West of Nairobi Center, Follow Gitanga Road in Lavington, cross James Gichuru Road and turn in at the first dirt road on the rigt (Amboseli Road), second gate on the right. GPS S 01°17,325 E 036°45,635. Chris, the owner, is a good mechanic. Offers bikes for rent.

Yabello: a good place to spend the night: Mobil filling station on the main road to Addis before junction to Yabello town.

Awassa: Adenium Campsite, Jana Franke, tel 212787, GPS N 07°04,627 E 038°29,050

Lake Langano: Bekele Mola Hotel, nice campsite on the beach, GPS N 07°32,930 E 038°41,041

Addis Abeba: Hotel Sheraton, a very luxury place, spent the night in the truck on the parking, GPS N 09°01.265 E 038°45.637

Debre Markos – Bahir Dar – Gondar: new tar road

Bahir Dar: campsite at Hotel Ghion: nice spot directly on the lake, not very clean. GPS N 11° 35,826 E 037° 23,148

Gondar - Border with Sudan: 200 Km hilly piste, a lot of corrugation. Customs 25 Km before border in Shedy GPS N 12° 46.596 E 36° 24.463
