Slightly depends on where you got your DRC visa. Was it granted in your home country?

In my case, travelling in a 2 WD car by myself either in august or next winter for the next stage of my trip.

If you going to cross the border of DRC and Angola at Songololo or Matadi - don't go straight to N'Zeto. This path looks shortest and doesn't differs from another roads on a map at first glance but in fact it is quite hardcore (I can tell that it is even harder than Louzi cross between Congos). Go to Mbanza-Congo instead, it is gravel but prepared for future pavement.

thank you!!!:thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1:
then the best route , starting from Gabon:
- Dolisie -Luozi - Matadi - Mbanza - N'zeto
or......

From Louzi to first tarmac (national road from Kinshasa to Matadi) something like 150km of not so nice gravel road but with pretty good views. After Matadi (you will be shocked by difference between two border checkpoints but don't rely on this, road starting after border control is crap tarmac) I went to N'Zeto in hope that road would be at least no worse than one to Mbanza-Congo which I waved goodbye few moments before and which was hysterically recommended by my GPS.

After N'Zeto to Louanda is a pretty european autobahn. What a relief.

Am I right to conclude that best route from Kinshasa to Luanda is through Songololo, Luvo, Mbanza Congo and Nzeto?

I will drive the other direction this month, using Luozi ferry. How many days should I count for Kimpese to Boko? Is routefinding difficult?
