DRC visa
 

Has anyone had recent experience of obtaining a DRC visa either on the road or applying from there home country, or from the UK.

I applied this August in London. Make an appointment on line, bring in the required papers and leave them (NOT your passport as it takes 4-6 weeks) and make sure you monitor progress (DAMHIK!).

When Kinshasa says yes (or London loses patience and grants you the visa anyway) then you bring your passport in for the stamping of visa in passport.

What's the longest you can defer the start of the Visa from the date of stamping?

My visa was issued late September and valid for entry three months from the beginning of the following month.

Basically everyone (me included) gets it in Cotonou, Benin.


When I arrived at the embassy the guy said "are you on a motorbike, or 4x4?"


One month visa issued in a couple of hours, no issues.
