Dar es Salaam 4x4 mechanic
 

Hi guys,

can anyone recommend a mechanic in Dar es Salaam? It's not an emergency, just need a few bits doing and would rather pay someone who knows what they're doing and has a workshop instead of struggling by myself at a campsite with limited tools.

I'm driving a Landcruiser HZJ75 (Troopy)

I ended up using Toyota in Morogoro after a recommendation from another traveller, and was happy with the work.

There are loads os spares shops and workshops in the industrial area of the city - Dar Es Salaam road is a good place to start, and also Baricho road nearby.

Found this in my archives:

German mechanic named Frank Carbort (sp?). His number is (255) 22 -
0756443940. He has many mechanics working for him in a huge workshop about
10 km west of downtown dar, on the road to morogoro (and zambia).

Apart from Frank also Peter Shayo on Msasani Peninsular (mob +255-754-549604) is worth a try.
