custom broker Cape Town?
 

Driving RTW last 10 month, and after Australia going to South Africa. Do you know, do I need custom broker there, when shipping by air? I got one offer, and he was asking 550usd, and that sounds like robbery!

hope is not to late. friend of mine shiped from australia to cape town, haveing carnet he paid only 20 euros, and was done in no time.
just go on your own, if you havee a carnet.

Hi! Im planning to ship my bike to Cape Town sometime in September this year. From experience beside the shipping agent whom you engaged to ship the bike, it is my knowledge that one also need to engaged a local forwarding agent at the other side to clear your bike. Am I correct to say that the same is required for South Africa? If so, which forwarding agent your friend engaged for clearance?

When my bike was air freighted in 2 years ago I used Econo Trans . They were very efficient and when I was delayed arriving by 3 weeks they stored my bike for no extra costs. Can't remember what I paid unfortunately.
