Hello, January 2023 I crossed the border between Morocco and Mauritania. No security or other issues. Subsequently I also crossed the border between Mauritania and Senegal in January 2023 and there too no problem. I am available to the forum to answer questions

You don't need a CDP to cross into Senegal. If no CDP you'll be given a Passavant and you have between 3 to 5 days to get it extended (for free but you may get asked for a 'fee') at either at St Louis or Dakar.

Cross at the Diamer border as it's smaller and easier.
