Carnet for bike
 

Hoping to ride uk spain , morocco , western sahara , mauritania , dakar in december. can anyone confirm need for carnet for motorbike and whether restrictions are placed on point of entry and freedom of travel , i would like to head for Bir Mogrein , Zouerat, Atar, Akjoujt, Nouakchott, many thanks kev

No crossing at Bir Mogrein into Mori.
Only one from WS is on the coast highway.

Thanks all for replies, as usual answers create more questions, RAC are currently quoting 4 weeks for issuing a carnet and i hope to leave uk in three weeks! can anyone suggest a faster alternative? My insurers wont cover beyond morocco, i have previously used local axa insurers in past, Any suggestions? many thanks kev

Either postpone your departure or explain you need it sooner.

No one does. From Morocco onwards you buy it at or near the border.

(As for that CdP list above - Libya is not on it.)
