Calabar - Limbe Ferry Attacked by Pirates
 

Hey guys,

I know most of you probably wouldn't take the ferry from Calabar to Limbe, but if you were planning on it, it's not an option right now.

When I was there a couple weeks ago I got lucky, was planning on taking the ferry but I was a week behind schedule. Apparently the ferry I was supposed to be on got attacked by pirates. The captain was shot and killed, and everyone's stuff that was up top with them (not stashed away below) was taken.

Obviously, they have shut down that ferry service until they feel it's safe again.

If you're set on getting across still, I think the only way is via speedboat, but it's expensive.
