cairo-sudan visa invite letter process
 

Anyone out there who has just done east coast route africa and can advise us on the LETTER OF INVITE PROCESS we are uk citizens.

I now theres a link on hear from a guy who has recently done this but
got a little confused. Will the sudanese embassy process involved me getting a letter of invite from WHAT EMBASSY.

Egypt transit visa on arrival at boarder i take it then on from there...
Any pointers will be great.

Very easy,

You need the letter from the British Embassy, which is about 200 metres down the road from the Sudanese one on Ibrahimi street in Cairo.

Go to the Uk embassy first, pay about 30 quid to get the letter (not actually a letter of endorsement, but a letter saying they won't give a letter!) Then take that to the Sudanese embassy with your hundred dollars and a couple of photos.

There is quite a bit of waiting involved sometimes, other times people are lucky. I waited over a week, I know people who have waited more than a month, others who have had it next day.
