Cabinda DRC crossing open on Sundays?
 

Can anyone confirm whether or not this border is actually open on Sundays? Heard a few rumours from other travellers that it might not be.

Also any info on the condition of the road from Cabinda to Matadi?

I have no direct experience with the Cabinda crossing but certainly some of the DRC borders are open on Sundays.

I crossed at Songolo on a Saturday after an early morning awakening by a village elder who thought that the border would be closed the next day and thoughtfully wanted to make sure that I made it in time.

I asked once I arrived at the border, and they said they were open every day even though the border itself was a fairly small crossing. Hopefully someone pipes in who has recently crossed at Cabinda and can confirm for you. Happy riding.
