Thought I'd ressurect this thread as I'm looking to hire a bike in March (2009) for a couple of weeks to ride from J Burg or maybe Cape town to stay with friends near Barkly East. (Wild Mountain Adventures - Welcome!)
Anyone with current experience or recommendations for bike hire? Ta muchly! Dave. |

As it happens my girlfriend has decided to join me so I will have to hire a 4x4 instead. Boo! |

you can email me to bushbandit@starmail.co.za 4x4s are quite expensive to rent. I have also an Transalp you could rent, the bike should have enough space for 2. Or travel with bike and put your girlfriend on the bus. I also have done this before. Specially if you stick to the backpackers should be easy to organize. regards Thomas |
