Best time for Cape Town to europe west coast.

I am tinking more and more now that I will ride home from Cape Town after riding down the east coast. I think I will be in SA about end of Feb, so I would proably be wanting to leave in middle to end of March up the west coast. I understand the best time to leave europe for a trans is between the end of summer and christmas from Europe. So when is the ideal time to leave south africa north up the west coast. I would proably take 3months back to europe. What weather would I be lickly to encounter at this time of year?
