Angola- make sure you have a copy of Letter of Invitation

If you planning getting into Angola make sure you have a copy of the Letter of Invitation you used to obtain your visa with you when entering the border.

Also they do not know what a Carne is or a International Drivers license so you need to have your vehicle registration papers with you.

Michnus - I see you are up to date on Angola, one of my concerns! I am trying to find a definitive and up to date list of countries on my route who REQUIRE A Carnet. (I will avoid the expense if I can.) Some say one thing many say another. What do you say?
Route: Cape Town Where I will buy vehicle. (anybody know the difficulties on that?) Namibia, Zambia, Angola, DRC/Congo (short crossing) Gabon, Equat. Guinea, Cameroon. Nigeria, Benin, Burkina, Mali - I did the rest, the other way around, without Carnet last year so it may be the same now. Alan.
