Hi -

We are combing through various insurance option and are getting lost in the jargon and options.

Two of us from the US who will be doing a moto trip down to central america for 6+ months.

We are having trouble deciding what are the best options. It seems from the US a lot of people do World Nomads. Do people also go ahead and buy a supplemental to MedJet for solely evacuation purposes as well?

What other option are out there?

Rescue vs Travel Medical Insurance
 

Justin, I am asking myself the same question. Myself and a group of 4 others are m'biking London to Seoul next summer and there seems to be lots of people like Global and SOS that offer insurance that is not medical insurance and covers advice, medical hook ups, etc. The travel Medical Insurance policies also offer these services (for a lot less) and as a group with 2 physicians and 2 dentists we are pretty sure we don't need advice. Am I silly to think that just Travel Medical is what we need?
