What do boarder officials ask for - on Chile Plated bikes...
 

Hi all,

I´m just doing the last stages of prep for my trip, with my XR 250 which I bought here in Chile. I am pretty sure I got all the paperwork sorted but don´t want to make a silly mistake and be turned around at the boarder. So, for those of you who bought in Chile, could you help me out? Is it the yellowish peice of paper aka the permit of circulation that is needed to cross? What exactly will they ask for when I cross into Argentina/Bolivia? Any info would be great, as I said, keen to avoid any last minute blunders :mchappy:

Thanks mate, that´s an interesting read, but I am specifically looking for vehicles that have been purchased in Chile, and were then taken to said countires on my list. Or in other words, which item of this big stack of paperwork is the title of the vehicle? Would that indeed be the "Certificado de Inscription"?

Trouble is that info is a couple of years old - but makes a good foundation for current research though
