Tyre for BMW R1100GS

Hi Albert,

i´ve seen you have helped a few people out with tyres. I was wondering if you knew what tyres were around in Quito for the big BMW´s, and roughly what price.

Am looking for a rear 150/70 17". preferably a metzler tourance, but beggars can´t be choosers. Am curently in Lima and only found very road based tyres to fit. am looking for something more "dual sport" to use that slighty misleading expression. Should get another 1000km out of my beloved TKC80´s, but that´s only enough to get me to your pub and no further!

Hope you can help as there is a scary post on here somewhere of someone in Lima looking for a tourance and being quoted many hundreds of dollars!

Cheers
mike

your post rang a bell,

BTW if you had to be stuck somewhere I suppose at a pub wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...
