Taxes/Hassles for selling a bike in South, Central or North America
 

Hi

I'm planning on buying a bike in Chile and riding north. How far north may well depend on how easy it will be to sell it at the other end of the ride.

I've read on several threads that there can be taxes that make this fairly expensive in some countries.

Does anyone have any information on how easy (or otherwise!) it is to sell bikes in any of the South or Central America counties, or the US?
