Suzuki V-Strom for sale in Colombia
 

Hi everyone!

I'm selling my DL650 (2007, registered in us, and cheap enough of course) in Colombia. I expect to be be there by the end of februrary.

This is probably not the ideal country to sell a Vstrom in.

They import the bikes in bits from Japan and assemble them here quite cheaply, so the resale value is down.

Can you not make it further down to BA or santiago, this is where most people buy and sell as it is usually at the beginning or end of their ride!

Can't sell to a local
 

I'm currently in Colombia and my buddy tried to sell his US-registrered DR650 here. We were told that you can't import a used vehicle permanently into Colombia - only factory new vehicles. This includes bikes and cars.

Haven't verified with authorities though, but we got the same information several places. So if planning to sell here you're better of selling to a fellow gringo and fixing the paperwork in the states through courier mail.

You're right it's not posible to have paper of used bikes here.
How much? just to see a possible solution.
