Storing a bike in Bogota?

At the end of March I need to return to the UK for 3-4 weeks for my neice's first birthday and my best mates wedding.

Having looked at flights it seems Bogota is currently the cheapest SA country to fly from (and it fits my timing).

Does anyone have any experience of storing a bike in Colombia? Is your bike stamped into your passport? Do Customs need to be informed? etc, etc...

Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Adam

Nothing is stamped in your passport. Its officially illegal to leave your bike behind, but as long as you get back before your permit runs out no one will know.

I do storage in Cali, national flights to Bogota are around 50 USD from here.
