south to north?
 

hey all. new to the site and new to the motorcycle bug. my wife and i will be doing rtw for about 15 months and our newest twist is to finish in s.am. buy bikes and drive 'em north to vancouver. would 4 months be ample time? how about the legality of buying a bike down south and bringing it back north? thanks, eric & julie

If you look back in the forum this question cames very often.The answer is often not posible to buy a bike in the south and just ride away with it.In argentina you are not alloud to leave the country within the first year.Chile not so sure.
May be buying a canadian or american bike"but" you need to clear the paper work before!
So not that easy!!!!!
4 month is posible.....but just with quick stops to view each country.

I have a US-registered bike sitting in Buenos Aires (95 XR650L). I would be willing to sell it to you. It might be cramped for 2-up though. Also, a few paperwork details before it can leave again. I could even buy it back in Ecuador, if you wanted to re-sell it. You can email me for more info.
