shipping info Belem Macapa
 

Just thought I'd post this as I couldn't find much info on this bit of the trip here.

I shipped from Belem to Macapa by Enart Navegacao, on the Almirante del Mar (that’s the vessel). Good boat, hammock RS. 130, cabin 200. bike Rs. 250, seems to right price. about 26 hours sailing from Belem to Santana/Macapa. Boats leave twice a week from Belem to Macapa (tues and fri) and back (wed and sat, check!). The almirante del Mar leaves Tuesday. Some other boat should leave in friday.

Loading bike on front deck (not down!) over rampas. Rs. 40 overpaid. Unloading took moving of the boat and was slightly trickier and steeper. Rs. 26
For all this I contacted Udivan (recommended through Alex Reis of the HU community Belem) in Belem on cellphone 9624-8146 or look him up on the last one of the docks (docas) going up north east from the estacion de docas (contra mano). S 1 26 26.2 W 48 29 39.6
What I would try is book through the boat company directly, see if that can be done. Where the Almirante del Mar was when I loaded the bike is S 1 27 37.3 W 48 30 27.0 They have sort of an office there.
