shipments into Chile
 

Just a follow up to our posting about having a replacement rear shock shipped into Peru - a real pain and very expensive with Customs...

We had a replacement computer shipped to us in Santiago. I was prepared for the same hassle but to my surprise, nada. No hassle with agents, no import taxes or processing fees. A couple of forms and I had the computer within the hour.

Putting this experience with advice about not trying to bribe Chile Police, I'd suggest if you must have anything shipped to you, Chile is the place. There's posts up of folks having difficulties in Argentina as well. I'm sure each experience could be different, but feel like chances are better for a smoother process here in Chile.
