Selling foreign bike to another foreigner in Colombia
 

Hello everyone!

I would like to hear if anyone has any experience with selling their foreign registered bike to another foreigner in Colombia. I am planning to do it on a poder. What steps do I need to go through. Bought by own bike this way in Chile but want to hear how it works in Colombia. Was thinking Bogota as they should have everything but maybe other cities are just as good?

Haven't done it myself, but i met a guy in this exact situation. Said he went with the seller to a local lawyer and they sorted out the poder very quickly. If i recall correctly, he was able to exit on the seller's TIP document. Afterwards, the new owner presented a "title" from the country in which the bike was sold to the new country he entered, officially giving him ownership of the bike.
