Selling a Chilean Plated moto while in the United States....
 

Hello,

I have a moto that is currently stored in Chile. I am thinking of selling it. If I find someone that is interested, is it possible to sell it while I remain here in the States? How would I arrange for the Power of Attourney to be drawn up. Are there notarios that specialize in this type of sale?

Any info that you can offer explaining the possibility or process would be very helpful.

Hi,

There is no way of legaly selling a chile plated bike in chile if the owner is not there. Before you left the country you should have given your power of authority to a notaria or so. They need to see you give your fingerprint in person. In Chile all contracts are not valied if they are not made at the notaria. Also the circulation permit and insurance of your bike might be out of date by now...

I got offered a very very very cheap bike in Santiago a few months ago and could not bay it (or leave the country with) because the lady who wanted to sell it was in Australia...
