Selling a Chilean bike to a foriegner in Peru?

I have met a fellow traveler that has some interest in my bike. My understanding is that I can get a Power of Attorney from a notario that transfers ownership to him. The he can ride all around S Am and when he gets to Chile he can apply for title. Is this correct?

No, that sounds way too easy. He will have problems for sure getting into some countries.

If he is really interested in buying it from you then he probably already knows a way to deal with legalizing it.
