Salta Hotel Recommendation: Casa Hernandez

If you are coming to Salta, Argentina check out the Casa Hernandez in San Lorenzo, 6km east of the city.

Alex and Rijkje, a young Dutch couple, opened this B&B Guesthouse just over a year ago and have quickly built a reputation for quality and friendly service. On TripAdvisor they are already listed as #1 B&B in Salta based on independent reviews. I agree.

I arrived here yesterday just as the heavens opened. I parked the bike behind the gate and offloaded my gear and before I had changed out of my we clothes, they were making me a welcomed cup of coffee. This was accompanied by warm smiles and genuine interest about my travels. Alex and Rijkje are travelers as well and understand how to provide quality service.

This is definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed on my South American adventure. I don’t want to leave.

Give them a try if you are in the area. Heck, make a detour to check out the place.
