well sorry, I am not in Arica but in case you ride up to Putre, have a look to the right hand side of the street. There you will see Geoglyphes on the hill.

In case you go to Uyuny try Hotel Avenida, near the train station. Otherwise I can recommend to visit San Pedro de Atacama! The geysiers El Tatio as well as on the opposite side the geysiers Sol de manana.
