a Q regarding Argentina buy/sell
 

Hi,

so I read that if you buy a bike in Argentina you can't cross the border with it. Is that also true for people who officially live in Argentina? Or is it just for foreigners?
I probably will move to Argentina and will need a bike there and obviously will do some SA touring, the question now is if I have to get a bike that is registered outside or Argentina or not? ?c?

This is true for tourist and foreigners that even when have moved to Argentina, have not obtained yet the full legal residency status here and the correspondent DNI (Arg ID). Then you can exist with your Arg bike but only on a temporary export based. On a outside registered bike applies same rules as for tourist, need title or registration in your name, as well as the date-valid Arg temporal importation (non-transferable).
