power inverter on klr?
 

i have searched long and high but can not find any info on power inverters on motorcycle batterys. I have a 150wat inverter i want to use on a klr that im looking to buy in chile. Think the moto battery will take it if the engine is running? Thanks !

150 watts is the max output of the inverter .
You may not be using as much as that .

Find the output of your alternator ,subtract the wattage of the bulbs, then take a bit more off for the ignition loss and the losses involved with the inverter .What you have left is what is available for the inverter output.
Check the draw of the apparatus you want to power - and Bob's your uncle !
