Peru-Ecuador crossing on a Peruvian bike
 

Hello there,

I´m planning my next trip, this time Ushuaia to Venezuela, and need info about crossing the Peru - Ecuador border.

Thing is, I bought my bike in Peru, so it´s registered there, and when I was crossing to Bolivia, it took a ridiculous amount of time and $$$ just to get all the right paperwork to be able to leave the country.

I was told that this is only the case with Bolivian borders and if I came back to Peru and wanted to cross to Ecuador, I wouldn´t need to relive all the paperwork nightmare.

I wonder if anyone has similar experience (leaving Peru on a Peruvian motorcycle) or has currently done that, as I am considering another route via Brasil if it turns out that the info is wrong and I would need to repeat all the joys of Peruvian bureaucracy:)
