Everything nice and sweet till Villamontes passing thru Santa Cruz...then 70 km herratic till the border in Ibobo, due to dirt blockades on the bolivian side (3 km of sand). Perfect from the border to La Patria. Big holes in the pavement from La Patria to Mariscal. No worries then. June is the dry (and cold) season, you can even afford to go offroad to visit the Alto Parana...

Hey americamoto, I'm in asuncion tonight 4/13. A few amigos and I will be at Pub Brittania celebrating our last night of being in the Peace Corps. I just bought a klr from an aussie couple here on the hubb and maybe we can do a little riding around paraguay. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. I know of some great sites and speak the local lingo, also have a place to crash.

Enjoy paraguay!

Cheers,
Jordan

Hey mate, when you're around Iguazu just let me know, if you need a place to stay I can arrange ok, also, let me know whatever you need, when you cross the border you'll notice it's a bit messy, actually it's a ruge mass, it's normal ok.

Get my phone to call when you're here 9956-1091.

Safe journey

It´s something like this (or worst)

But... no big deal...
If you have panniers in your bike, don't follow the other bikes. At some point your bike will not fit the road. :scooter:

markharf 16 Apr 2012 05:42

I followed the other bikes in the bike lane and I fit with my panniers....but barely, and they got pissed that I was moving so slowly at the choke points. Mine are not as wide as some.....

A hello from another rider...

Rod from Iguazu

Hey guys,

I live in Iguazu, give a shall when you're around here (brazilian side), so we can have a jeiger and a barbecue. call me on 9956-1091 when you're at the brazilian side.

Cheers

Rod

joca1000 22 Apr 2012 01:07

Hey Rod

Thanks a lot for the offer, unfortunately we are not going into Brazil now, as I was told, my bike is only allowed to enter twoice in Brasil and I have to enter again in Acre, so I am saving my entry for it.

I will be hanging out in Ciudad Iguazu tomorrow and I will head to Asuncion on Mondayl

Thanks a lot, enjoying some Patagonia Amber right now, real good beer.

Gummikuh 29 Apr 2012 00:23

Hi Joca!

Never heard about that before...:helpsmilie:

We planned to cross the border a few times..
