oil change for euormot gxt 200?

I just bought this bike in chile and need some help with when to change the oil and what type. The bike had 1000 kms on it when I bought it and the shop changed the oil then.

I was told the oil should be changed every 1000 kms and it is now at that point. My question is what type of oil should I be putting in the tank and is there anything specific I need to know in regards to general maintence on this bike? I believe the actual process of changing the oil is fairly straightforward as there seems to be only one entrance and exit point for the fluid, I just need to know what to buy.

Any help you guys would be able to give would be greatly appreciated.

Online manual and oil tips

A quick search returned a service manual that might help... http://www.mychinamoto.com/downloads...S%20MANUAL.pdf

As with all oils it depends on your usage and the temperatures you're riding. You probably need a good synthetic oil if you are riding in the Andies and by the coast, assuming a temp variation of -10 to +40 degrees C then you should go with: 10W-40 or 10W-50.

I'm not sure if the manual is correct but "Oil volume is 850ml for replacement or 1300ml after overhaul".

This is a translation from Chinese so your guess is as good as mine to what the hell they mean.

My guess is that draining the oil without oil filter replacement is 850ml.
Replacement of oil filter will be 1300ml.

Hope this helps.
