I'm doing the same trip in October, only in reverse (Buenos Aires - Pointy bit - then north to USA).

We're 2 up and love to wildcamp, so we're budgeting on each day to spend on a tank of fuel, beer, food and then accomodation about 4 nights a week. About $120 a day for two.

Although that is all (educated) guesswork! Keep in touch during your trip and I can give you actual costs while we're over there there if you want, so you know what to expect on the way down.
