Need KLR Battery in Guatemala
 

Somehow the mechanic in Antigua managed to kill my perfectly-good existing battery during a bike service, then drop and break the replacement, which doesn't fit properly anyway... So, I now need a new battery: does anyone have the contact details for a shop where a battery for a KLR650 can be obtained, preferably close to Antigua (e.g. Guat. city) or heading south through Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Panama?

There's a Kawasaki dealer in Guatemala city on the Panamerican. Head into town from Antigua, and you will eventually see it on the left hand side. (er. You are probably not driving, so better look in a guate phone book). If you can't find Kawasaki, you should be able to find Volvo. They are owned by the same people.

Better still, try FRK in Zona 9. And ask for a discount - approx 25%.

I wouldn't bother trying to get one in Honduras, it'll be expensive - if available.
