Alex,
I am leaving NC on April 12 for Mexico. I have never riden across the border and have no route or plans. I would sure appreciate you forwarding any useful info you get.

We leave the 17 of April to Mexico, so you will be in Mexico before we get there.
We also went to Mexico in 2002.

It has some information, that you might find useful, but not sure what you are needing to know.
Hope the logs answer some of your questions?

There are some great roads in Mexico. My particular favorites are the road that runs from Linares on the eastern edge of the eastern Sierra Madres west. The old highway to Mexico City out of Morelia (no cars good pavement great twisties) and the road south out of Creel in the western Sierra Madres. I posted a bit about my last trip at:

Some more practical stuff can be found here at: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/country/mexico/

Hope that helps.

Kurt
