Looking for 2 motorbikes 250CC to buy in Lima, Peru
 

Hi,

I am planning to make a motortrip in Peru and Bolivia in July with a friend of mine.

We are looking to buy 2 250CC in Lima. We are rather looking for cheap chinese motorbikes (for around 1000USD) as we plan to resell it at the end of the trip.

Does anyone has tips for buying new ones or even better has a recent second-hand motorbike to sell?

There is a member of chinariders.net nicknamed 'oldgringo' who is a US ex-pat living in Peru. He recently helped a guy from England purchase a new bike so he could ride the country and watch the Dakar. That guy posted photos and a video of his time. His bike might just be for sale, too, but I believe it was a 200cc.

It wasn't completely easy, either, as he bought the bike new through a dealer, but it was doable. Anyway, look through these threads and PM 'oldgringo' to see what direction he can help point you to.
