Leticia Colombia, or uppermost entry to Amazon?
 

Anyone know if Leticia in Colombia and near Peruvian and Brazil border is accessible by road? I'm looking at options for routes around Venezuela but quickest into Brazil. Apparently Leticia loads river vessels for travel down to Manaus and onwards to Belem on Brazil coast.
On a big and heavy Buell Ulysses, so the tiny muddy dirt routes are not options.

Leticia cannot be reached by road, only by air or boat. It's possible to go from Venezuela down to Manaus by road and then take a boat upstream the Amazon river to Leticia, if you are so inclined, or continue down to the rest of Brazil.

... that's what I thought. I met an old boat hand here in Cartagena who told me to try the Leticia route and AVOID Venezuela (Manaus route.) But look like Venezuela will have to be the way.
