Leaving Colombia, without Aduana paperwork (lost)

Has anybody left Colombia and not had the Aduana paperwork (single sheet of A4) they give you when you arrive?
We, well Caf has lost hers and we are not sure whether to go to the main Aduana in Bogota (we're already here) and see if they can give us a copy or just turn up to leave and "opps it was there a few days ago, sorry officer I must have lost it"? Her reference number would be one before or one after mine so should be easy to find on the system I'm guessing.
The only thing that is worrying us is that we are booked onto a ship to cross from Cartagena to Panama and if we are delayed at customs we could miss the boat (excuse the pun doh)

Cheers
Pete & Caf

Hey

I personally definately would not risk it. I hear the customs process in Cartagena is a nightmare even when you do have all your paperwork in order - so would not want to chance it without. I think its been alot harder ever since fritz sank and theres been a couple of threads about the whole process being permanently shut down (this isnt true but the fact that people are getting this impression gives you an idea of the difficulties)

Would strongly suggest you find out either way in bogota.

On another note im up in san gil and taking the road to cocuy in the next couple of days on my KLR. Going to do what these guys did - bit of an adventure if you fancy joining.

Cheers for the offer but Caf has had to go back to the UK for two weeks and doesn't return until 18th October so we can't make it. I'll be kicking around Bogota sorting bike stuff and getting drunk :oops2:

I´ve left a land border down here without any problems, and then re-entered and received a new one, so you could run to the border with Venezuela (not exactly convenient I appreciate).

A friend lost his down here, and as long as it has made it onto the system, you can get a new copy without any problems. Can take a while though as you fish through the red tape. Having said that, he was up in the north, and it had to come from Bogota, so at least you´re in the right place!

Incidentally, I do believe your wife knows an old friend of mine from home, it´s a funny old world.

hehe, sorry was writing that in a hurry.

I just saw your curryhunt tagline and remembered seeing that posted on my timeline on facebook last year sometime, took a look back and it was posted by a friend of mine M. Scarratt. You know him too?

I'm living up in Santa Marta for a while, so if you're passing through, drop me a PM. Taganga's an alright place to hang out and relax for a few days.

Cheers
